Fausto Sans

Nestled in the stylish up-and-coming RiNo neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, Bar Fausto is one of the most exciting additions to the burgeoning set of Denver cocktail bars. Bar Fausto revels in an air of authenticity inspired in part by Italian cyclist Fausto Coppi and the golden era of competitive cycling. We were asked by Denver friends Studio Mast to develop a custom typeface for the new bar that would bolster their brand design.  

Authentic, Custom Type

Our custom typeface—dubbed Fausto Sans—comes with a full set of capitals, numbers, punctuation, as well as alternate characters inspired by classic Italian shop signage. Rounded pipeline strokes in iconic letters such as W, M, N, and A bring a lot of charm and whim to the set, while more sturdy alternates for the H, N, and R, for example, supply an option for elevated sophistication.
